Two weeks ago, we embarked on a journey into the fascinating world of artificial intelligence. Today, we delve deeper — exploring multimodal artificial intelligence, its multifaceted nature, and the implications for our personal and professional lives. But first, let me share a memorable experience at the Museum of Clean, where I had the honor of meeting Don Aslett, a pioneer entrepreneur and a legend in his own right.

The History of the Museum of Clean

The gathering at the Museum of Clean was nothing short of inspiring. Don Aslett, a visionary whose impact on the cleaning industry is monumental, shared his wisdom with a group of equally visionary individuals. The purpose? To discuss the development of an Idaho Business & Technology Incubation Center — an initiative aimed at fostering innovation and supporting budding entrepreneurs, providing them with the resources and guidance needed to transform their ideas into reality.

Being in Don Aslett’s presence was a privilege and a reminder of how visionary leadership can shape industries and communities. But even more, the session underscored how multimodal artificial intelligence is becoming a foundational tool in that transformation.  Rob Simmon, Don’s son-in-law and the President of the Clean World Foundation, who now heads the Museum, has an incredible vision to increase the Museum of Clean’s reach in the world of technology, education, and entrepreneurship focused on our younger generation.

On June 4th, you can visit the Museum of Clean and the Children’s Museum under one roof. A playground full of learning opportunities for the kids of our town. If you have kids and live in Southeast Idaho, you must go. But that is not all, my company, MOATiT, has partnered in this effort, and with Rob and his team, we are bringing technology and AI skill development courses for anyone who is passionate about learning and applying their skills. More details on this later. For now, just know that great opportunities are coming to town.

Multimodal Artificial Intelligence

Now, let’s shift our focus to the core of this discussion: multimodal artificial intelligenceConsider the technological updates that are accelerating this shift: 2025 is seeing a surge in unified AI models that process text, images, audio, and video — not in isolation but in concert. Q3 Technologies+2Future AGI+2 For example, the rise of “AI agents” — autonomous systems that can understand natural language, visual cues, and even physical interactions — is no longer future talk but unfolding in real-time. In this incubation environment, our entrepreneurs stand to benefit enormously: imagine a start-up team using a vision-language-action model to prototype a hardware concept, test it via voice command, and generate marketing visuals — all in one workflow. That’s the power of multimodal artificial intelligence at work. Moreover, edge AI models — those running on devices rather than centralized servers — are democratizing access, enabling innovators in Idaho and beyond to iterate rapidly without massive infrastructure. As we explore this world of possibility alongside entrepreneurs, it’s clear that mentorship and human-led vision remain essential. Technology doesn’t replace the spark of creativity — it amplifies it. The panel discussion at the Museum of Clean highlighted that blend: Don Aslett’s decades of entrepreneurial insight complemented by today’s AI-driven tools for growth, iteration, and scale.

Embracing it in Idaho’s Future Ecosystem

For those of us nurturing ideas in the Idaho innovation ecosystem, embracing multimodal artificial intelligence isn’t optional — it’s transformative. Whether you’re building a product, service or platform, these tools let you test hypotheses faster, learn from richer feedback (text + image + audio), and pivot with precision.

One of the most exciting aspects of these advancements is how they can assist us in our daily lives. Take reading, for instance. With AI, we can now access concise summaries of lengthy books, making it easier to stay informed and educated even with a busy schedule. AI can also help transform our thoughts into structured business plans. By simply typing out our ideas, AI can generate comprehensive plans that include market analysis, financial projections, and strategic recommendations.

Creativity, too, has been democratized by AI. Imagine being able to compose a song, create music, or produce a video just by typing your thoughts into a prompt. This is no longer a distant dream but a reality brought to life by the power of AI. Artists and creators can now experiment with new forms of expression, while businesses can leverage these tools to enhance their marketing and engagement strategies.

In essence, the multi-modality of AI is reshaping the boundaries of what we thought was possible. What I felt about AI two weeks ago and the timeline in

my head is completely changed. It is moving faster than I expected, at least. It is an exciting time to witness and participate in this technological revolution. As we continue to explore and harness the potential of AI, one thing is clear: the future is here, and it is brimming with possibilities.

Conclusion

Let me leave you with another tool. If PI Ai from last week’s suggestion blew your mind, then be ready to be dazzled, my friends. In conclusion, the journey of entrepreneurship is timeless, but the tools now available are accelerating the path. As we stand with new innovators, mentors like Don Aslett, and a dedicated incubation center, we embrace not only entrepreneurial vision, but the powerful layer of multimodal artificial intelligence that supports it. The future is here — and for Idaho’s next wave of creators, the opportunity is real.
